We are dedicated to teaching traditional Japanese martial arts under the direction of Dojo-cho Jason Hindley. Jason is a direct student of Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura Sensei, the 58th generation Grandmaster of the Amatsu Tatara system.
The foundation of the Amatsu Tatara system is based upon two traditional martial arts, Ninpo and Jujutsu, using knowledge and training methods going back over 2,700 years.
Our training includes both martial arts techniques and training for the heart and spirit as well as weapons and much more.
What We Teach
Jujutsu is a martial art used to defend and control an enemy using unarmed techniques. This means Jujutsu is a true self defence system, not a system for becoming strong or hurting anyone.
This ancient system is the source of all martial arts training within Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura Sensei's Genbukan organisation. Its secret scrolls are well known to special Japanese scholars and spiritual experts..
A big thank you to Jason for helping Blake to achieve his goal of Blackbelt. Blake discovered Jujutsu as a 7 year old and with Jason's expert guidance he has grown as a person in many ways. He knows that this milestone is only one of many doors that will open on his path to better himself and continue on this amazing journey.
