I have only just started studying Ninpo but have been very impressed with the attitude and teaching of Jason and the high level grades, who assist us learners. Looking at the syllabus and what the other students are doing, the depth of study is incredible, and even after 4 lessons I am starting to feel more fit! I certainly plan to continue studying here, and am really enjoying the training.

Welcome to the Kinkan Dojo website

We are dedicated to teaching traditional Japanese martial arts under the direction of Dojo-cho Jason Hindley, a direct student of Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura Sensei.

 

The foundation of all our training is the Amatsu Tatara tradition, which has a history of knowledge and training methods that goes back over 2,700 years. The Amatsu Tatara contains both martial arts techniques and training for the heart and spirit. Grandmaster Shoto Tanemura Sensei is the 58th generation Grandmaster of this traditional system.

 

Our training is based upon two traditional martial arts, Ninpo (more commonly known as Ninjutsu) and Jujutsu. Our system also includes weapons training and much more. You can find more detailed information for everything we do within the pages of this website.

 

We invite you to join us at our training locations in Hornchurch and Ilford. Please read the "joining training" information listed above for more information, and we look forward to training with you soon!
