Terms & Conditions for Adults  
 
  1. In all classes, demonstrations and activities conducted/organised by the Kinkan Dojo and its instructors, reasonable care is taken to prevent serious injury and minimise accidents.
    The STUDENT states that he/she is fully aware that martial arts training, even under the safest conditions possible, may be dangerous.
    The STUDENT hereby agrees to accept full responsibility and assume all risks, including those caused by acts of God, of injury, death and/or loss to his/her person and/or property, knowingly and/or voluntary.
  2. The STUDENT agrees to obey all rules and regulations that the Kinkan Dojo puts into place in order to minimise these risks.
  3. The STUDENT knowingly, voluntarily and irrevocably waives any and all past, present and future claims, demands and causes of action which the STUDENT now has or may have in the future against all instructors, assistant instructors, organisers and/or students, while on the premises hired/borrowed/used by the Kinkan Dojo for martial arts instruction, for any and all past, present and/or future injuries, death, loss, including those caused by acts of God, received while participating in activities conducted by the Kinkan Dojo as a student, participant, spectator and/or visitor, or in any other manner or form, taking part in the exercises, practices, excursions, and/or demonstrations of said martial arts training.
  4. The STUDENT certifies that he/she is physically and mentally capable to participate in the said martial arts training, despite the rigours and dangers inherent in such an undertaking.
  5. It is the responsibility of the STUDENT to ensure that they have adequate personal insurance as well as cover for the loss of or damage to his/her personal property.
  6. FEES:
    For each STUDENT the fee for the first 4 weeks of training is payable weekly before the class starts.
    If the STUDENT wishes to continue training after this 4 week period the fees then become payable 4 weeks in advance, at the first class of the month.
    Refunds for absence will not be made.
  7. The instructors of the Kinkan Dojo reserve the right to decline an application without having to state a reason.
    The instructor’s decision will be final in all cases.
  8. These Terms & Conditions are subject to alteration by the Kinkan Dojo.
  9. The STUDENT'S signature on the application form indicates acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the desire to participate in this martial arts training programme.
